Alloy Asset Structure
Alloy Assets enable true ownership of in-game items for gamers. In conventional video games, in-game items can only be used within the game the items were purchased in. The items are considered sunk costs when gamers move on to another game. However, Alloy Assets resolve the issue of disconnected and closed-world gaming experiences through interoperability. Alloy Assets are able to be moved from game to game and unlock in-game offerings across all games in the platform’s ecosystem. The Assets come in different rarity levels, from Common to Legendary. Higher rarity confers greater benefits in and outside of games.
Assets on Alloy are released in themed sets containing 50 unique Assets. Players can acquire more Assets by purchasing booster packs using fiat currency (i.e. government-issued currency, such as the U.S. dollar, the euro, etc.) or the platform’s XP Tokens ($ALLOYXP). These tokens are classified as fiat-backed stablecoins tied to the value of the US dollar. Players can purchase $ALLOYXP directly on the Alloy platform or on a decentralized exchange.
When opened, or “unwrapped,” each pack is revealed to contain from 1 to 50 Assets in adherence with the probabilities in Table 1.

Full ownership of Assets confers players more degrees of freedom in how to use their Assets to earn rewards. Please see the Staking Mechanics section of the full White Paper for more details.
There is a two-tier structure to each Asset:
Tier One (T1): players who own T1 Assets have full ownership of both the Asset and its utility.
Tier Two (T2): contains the interoperable utility between games, but cannot be used to generate more Assets.
Across games, both T1 and T2 Assets come in handy when searching for the right power-up for a high-stakes boss fight or a side quest, for example.
T1 and T2 Assets can be obtained from opening T1 and T2 booster packs, respectively, and they can be purchased individually or rented from other players in the Alloy marketplace.
