The Alloy Solution

Alloy addresses the problems with both modern gaming and Web 3 games.

Ownership and Player Equity

Blockchain and Alloy Assets provide a verifiable proof of ownership for players. The platform, via its marketplace, enables owners to buy, sell, trade or stake their Assets. The Assets themselves are used to unlock additional game content, design and features across each game on the Alloy platform–nearly impossible to do with a standard database. This provides associated value across the ecosystem.

Play-to-Earn

Both game players and developers can derive the benefits of the play-to-earn model on Alloy, with our Incentives System. When Gamers play a game with any of their Assets, they will accrue utility tokens for the time they spend playing. These utility tokens can be used on the platform to pay for new games, microtransactions, or even for new Assets. Similarly, developers benefit from the Incentive model because the more players who use Assets in their games, the more utility tokens are paid out to the developer as a reward.

DAO

The Alloy Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) enables token holders to vote on important decisions which can affect the future of the platform. This can include what type of games the platform should fund. For example, if a token holder likes to play RPG games, they might use their vote to back the funding of a new RPG game up for vote. The built-in review system ensures funds go to developers with credibility.

Sustainability

Alloy Assets are created on the Algorand blockchain, a sustainable, scalable, efficient and speedy network. It is carbon-negative through its minimal emissions and proactive carbon offset approach. Each final transaction on Algorand is roughly 0.0000004 kg of CO2, in contrast, a Bitcoin transaction emits 338 tons of CO2 and requires more than 2,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity or enough energy to power the average American household for 73 days. The Algorand Foundation strives to create a permanent sustainable solution to blockchain development.
