# Alloy Utility Token ($ALLOYXP)

$ALLOYXPs are the transactional currency of the platform used for purchasing games, making in-game purchases, and transacting Asset purchases and trades. $ALLOYXPs are fiat-backed stablecoins tied to the value of the US dollar.

* Alloy gamers can refill the balance of $ALLOYXP with fiat (i.e. government-issued currency, such as the U.S. dollar, the euro, etc.) at a fixed exchange rate on the platform.
* Alloy gamers can earn $ALLOYXP by:
  * Selling their Assets or booster packs in the Alloy marketplace
  * Renting out their Assets in the Alloy rent market
  * Playing games with their T1 or T2 Assets
  * Staking their T1 Assets in the T2 booster pack minting pool
* Alloy gamers can use $ALLOYXP to:
  * Purchase games and make in-game purchases
  * Purchase T1 and T2 booster packs from the marketplace
  * Purchase individual Assets or booster packs on the marketplace
  * Rent Assets on the rental market

To exchange $ALLOYXPs for fiat, players can use swap services on DEXs.
